1. Registration and Payment
Group tours are based on a minimum number of participants. If this number is not reached, I reserve the right to cancel the event or to provide a suitable alternative with your consent. If you do not agree to this, any deposit paid will be refunded in full. For individual tours, it is helpful for me if you book early. To make a booking binding, a deposit of approx. 30% of the total amount is usually required. You will be informed of the payment arrangements and bank details in the registration confirmation.
2. Program
For safety reasons, the mountain guide reserves the right to change the planned program or route, or to cancel the tour, e.g., in the event of unfavourable weather conditions, lack of ability of the participants, or other similar reasons that make it impossible to carry out the tour properly and, above all, safely. In this case, however, there is no entitlement to a reduced rate.
3. Liability
There is no such thing as absolute safety from objective dangers in the mountains, and the mountain guide cannot guarantee this either. A certain residual risk remains with every tour. The customer accepts this inherent residual risk (e.g., danger of falling, altitude sickness, cold damage, avalanche danger, crevasse fall, rockfall, etc.) of mountaineering, which persists despite careful and prudent guiding. By booking, the customer acknowledges these risks and waives any right to claim damages and similar claims against the mountain guide.
4. Participants
Each participant acts on his/her own responsibility and should critically assess his/her ability. If you have any doubts about your chosen tour, I recommend a preparation tour (at extra cost). On group tours, the mountain guide will set the pace according to the weakest member of the group.
If there are any health restrictions or problems, these must be communicated to me at the time of registration. In the event of non-compliance with the mountain guide's instructions, the participant may be excluded from the group. In this case, the total amount will be charged.
5. Tours
It should be noted that the requirements stated in the offer (physical condition, technical knowledge and equipment) are part of the contract between the mountain guide and the person making the booking. The mountain guide is entitled to exclude participants who do not fulfil these requirements from tours or to cancel the tour. In this case the total amount will be charged.
6. Insurance
Insurance is not included in the price. I recommend that you take out adequate insurance coverage in advance (e.g., accident insurance, mountain rescue costs, travel cancellation insurance, etc.). Please check with your insurance broker beforehand.
7. Cancellation
7.1 Day Tours
Cancellations up to 7 days before the tour can be made, and the deposit will be postponed up to a maximum of 15 months. From the 7th to the 4th day before the start of the tour, a processing fee of 50% of the total amount will be charged. On the 3rd or 2nd day before the scheduled tour, 75% of the total amount will be charged. In case of cancellation one day before, on the same day of the tour or no-show without notice, the full amount will be charged. If you have to cancel due to an accident, illness, etc., the cancellation costs, with the exception of the processing fee of €100, can be postponed to another date or offer (valid for 15 months and only with a medical certificate).
7.2 Multi-Day Tours
For cancellations of multi-day tours up to 30 days before the tour, the deposit will be retained. From the 29th to the 15th day before the tour, 75% of the total amount will be charged. From the 14th day to the start of the tour, 90% of the total amount will be charged. In the event of no-show without prior cancellation, the full amount will be charged. The written receipt of the cancellation notice is decisive. I recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance. (e.g., European travel insurance).
8. Photographic Material
The participant agrees that photos/videos may be taken of him/her during the tour. This photographic material may be published on social media for advertising purposes. These will be made available to the participant free of charge on request.
9. Deposit
The reservation is valid as soon as the deposit has been received.
